Call Fowrading

Commonly known as call diversion, call forwarding is a feature which helps a person to redirect the incoming calls to a different number. But before redirecting make sure the number is unblocked. We may have to use this option for the following reasons.

  1. Unavailability of the users to receive the call.
  2. Delay in call reception.
  3. An absence of network coverage or busy phone lines.
  4. Any business wanting to continue to use their publicized phone number but shift to a different operator.

Here’s how to enable call forwarding depending on the operating system used by your smartphone.

It only takes a minute or two to make this happen. Here’s how to set up call forwarding on iPhone in just a few taps.

  1. Go to your Settings app.
  2. On your main Settings screen, scroll down and tap Phone.
  3. Select Call Forwarding.
  4. Move the slider to enable Call Forwarding.
  5. Tap Forward To.
  6. Enter the phone number where you wish to receive your phone calls.
  7. Tap on Back. The number you entered will display on the Call Forwarding screen for you to double-check.

Now, all calls coming into your iPhone will ring on the forwarding number. And, you’ll see no indication of a call on your iPhone at all.

To confirm that call-forwarding options can be set by using the Android operating system, follow these steps:

  1. Open the Phone app.
  2. Touch the Action Overflow icon. On some phones, touch the Menu icon instead to see a list of commands.
  3. Choose Settings or Call Settings.
  4. The Call Settings command might be found on a second screen; choose Settings first, and then choose Call Settings. Eventually, you’ll see the call settings screen.
  5. Choose Call Forwarding. If the option isn’t available, use your cellular carrier to forward calls.
  6. Choose one of the following options:
  • Always Forward: All incoming calls are sent to the number you specify; your phone doesn’t even ring. This option overrides all other forwarding options.
  • Forward When Busy: Calls are forwarded when you’re on the phone and choose not to answer. This option is normally used to send a missed call to voicemail, although you can forward to any number.
  • Forward When Unanswered: Calls are forwarded when you choose not to answer the phone. Normally, the call is forwarded to your voicemail.
  • Forward When Unreached: Calls are forwarded when the phone is turned off, out of range, or in airplane mode. As with the two previous settings, this option normally forwards calls to voicemail.
  1. Set the forwarding number. Or you can edit the number that already appears.
